Scotiabank BuskerFest Facebook Contest App

In order to build excitement and help with the overall online strategy, we created a Facebook App to encourage people to “Like” the festival on Facebook and have a chance to win two tickets to the 4th annual Scotiabank BuskerBall Gala.

In keeping with the look and tone of the event, the custom Facebook App we created features a fun and funky design. We made it clear and easy for people to enter the contest and our privacy policy ensures that users know exactly how the information they enter will be used before they enter it.The annual features spectacular live entertainment from some of the top Scotiabank BuskerFest performers. Last year’s Ball welcomed 550 exclusive guests and raised more than $130,000 for Epilepsy Toronto’s important work.

After the contest was over, we seamlessly changed the app from a contest app to a simple fangate that tells visitors what they can expect if they like Scotiabank BuskerFest. This means that people who click any links pointing to this app will receive a Facebook page rather than an error message.
