Brent Kobayashi
President & Owner

For 25 years, Brent has helped clients boost sales and elevate their brands with smart, cost-effective strategies. A tech enthusiast since Grade 9, he was training his teachers by high school and later founded his own firm while still at university. Passionate about web development, he built a team to deliver high-performing websites. Today, he’s deeply involved in the WordPress community, co-organizing Toronto’s 1,500-member meetups and the annual 400-person WordCamp conference.
Mike Sbrizzi
Creative Director
Mike is not your typical Creative Director. Before leading the team at KZ, he acted in TV shows, indie films, and commercials, even playing Frank Sinatra’s son in a History Channel docudrama. He co-founded a production company, then shifted gears to design after falling for typography. A Humber College grad, he’s spent 20+ years blending creativity and strategy for clients—often as the hands-on lead designer. Smart, versatile, and always interesting.
Gurcharn Birdi
Lead Designer
Birdi is a lead designer, front-end developer, and skilled illustrator with over a decade of experience. After earning his Advanced Diploma in Graphic Design from Humber College, he began in print—creating ads, branding, reports, and magazines—before moving into digital. He later completed a web design certificate and has been building websites full-time since 2014. A passionate illustrator and photographer, he’s also captured striking images across Europe.
Tomas Llobet-Arany
Technical Director
Tom is KZ’s Technical Director, handling both front-end and back-end coding with ease. He brings web projects to life—from concept to launch—collaborating closely with Mike and Birdi on design and functionality. A Fanshawe College grad with over a decade of experience, Tom constantly learns new technologies, giving KZ clients access to cutting-edge features before the competition even knows they exist.
Hector Jarquin
Full Stack Developer
One of the newest team members at Kobayashi, Hector works with the team developing user-centered experiences (UX), and has a passion for accessible, semantic, and responsive applications. Also, believes in sharing and conversing with others about the tools and practices that have helped deliver the best solutions in his developer journey.
Ryan Grace
Junior Developer
Ryan is a Junior Developer at Kobayashi + Zeitguys, where he helps design, build, and maintain websites that are as functional as they are visually engaging. He’s passionate about writing clean, efficient code and is always eager to learn new technologies and best practices from the talented team around him. He also has a creative streak, with interests in filmmaking, digital art, and anything that brings tech and storytelling together. Whether he’s debugging a tricky feature or editing a short video, Ryan brings curiosity, creativity, and energy to everything he does.
Morgan Kobayashi-LeBel
Marketing Specialist
Morgan has a lifelong passion for video and thrives both independently and as part of the creative team at Kobayashi + Zeitguys. Whether crafting ads, social posts, or brand assets, he feels most at home behind the screen. A film lover (just ask him about Synecdoche, New York), he also creates music videos for local bands, dabbles in game coding, and hones his animation skills—always creating, both at work and beyond.
Rich LeBel
Sr. Manager, IT Services
With 20 years of experience, Rich is KZ’s go-to for client support and all things IT. He’s been passionate about tech since he first took apart—and reassembled—his own computer. From web applications and development languages to networks and security, Rich keeps our hosted infrastructure secure and running smoothly. He also leads our support team, making sure client needs are handled quickly and efficiently. If something’s broken, Rich is the guy to fix it—and while he’s our guy, we’re happy to share him.
Angela Lattanzio
Project & Finance Manager
Angela keeps the wheels turning at Kobayashi + Zeitguys—handling operations, employee engagement, and process improvements that keep the team thriving. After earning a Bachelor of Music in Opera from Western, she worked as a classical music buyer before shifting to public service at ServiceOntario, specializing in process improvement. Joining the K+Z team was a natural fit. Outside of work, she still sings Puccini—in her garden, to the peonies.
